Whether you're seeking therapy for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, my hope is that you'll find a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll identify your strengths, work through challenges, and develop practical tools to help you build a more balanced and meaningful life.
Erika Peters, LMHC
“I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, where you can feel heard and understood as you work toward creating a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
About Me
For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and discover their own strength. That passion led me to serve in the military for 28 years, including 15 years as a Victim Advocate, supporting individuals through trauma, crisis, and some of life's most difficult moments. Those experiences shaped my approach to counseling and continue to guide my work as a therapist today.
As both a military veteran and therapist, I understand that life doesn't always go as planned. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, or everyday stress, my goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can explore your experiences and develop the confidence and skills to move forward.
I believe therapy should be personalized because everyone has a unique story. I tailor my approach to each client's goals, strengths, and experiences, integrating evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1), and Journal Therapy.
As a Functional Nutrition Counselor, I also recognize the connection between physical and mental health. Nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, and lifestyle habits can influence emotional well-being. When appropriate, I incorporate education about the mind-body connection to support a more holistic approach to wellness.
This is a space without judgement. A place to be honest, to feel heard, and to slowly find your way back to yourself.
